Lovely little restaurant with inside and outside space including a little courtyard with umbrellas. Really tasty homemade food at a really reasonable price. Lots of choice on the menu from larger meals to deli sandwiches. Will visit again!

Great place for real home cooking. Go for the specials or the pies. When you see them you'll know its home cooking in a restaurant. Good value, great quality food.

Hmm! At first mixed feelings really, At first I thought I was trapped in a time warp. Antiquated easily springs to mind, very laid back and no urgency was first choice on the menu, with bob the cat acting as doorman. Although it seemed to take ages to the organising of my beer least alone receiving it. When it came it was well worth the wait, (moral to be learned here; if you want speed & efficiency then go to max beach) mind you you'll pay through the nose and receive flat, warm, tasteless beer at an escalated price. Your not going to get bill-shocks with rashes here. A simple menu, reasonably priced with no hidden fees. Three courses, all good, all tasty, all winners in each class, mother's best Sunday lunch served in a place that's oblivious to change, short of a wurlitzer but 60 and 70s music in abundance, thank God! The owners, are a Lancashire husband, wife and son who are so laid back, you could climb them both and enter a window. In fact the place is full of english locals who are full of information, advice and warnings, full of remembrance and so willing to share, Our stay/visit was simply brilliant! You'll never find a southerner or indeed an establishment so open and trust worthy. Perhaps not everyone's taste, not the Ritz but maybe it was closer to it than you think, no not the decor, but if you leave a critical eye at home, and relax, eat- drink and be merry, relax, chill, eat and enjoy retirement. I did! Thank you for a very lovely Sunday lunch. (August 13th 2nd visit) Nothing has changed (thank god) every vegetable is cooked perfectly and full of flavours that I've long forgotten, My dad used to use a prestige pressure cooker because my mother was frightened to death of the steam, and my Sunday lunch today takes me back to a time long forgotten.

Was recommended to us for roast dinner. Was absolutely delicious and great service . There is also a vegetarian option which I really appreciated. Will definitely be back

Wonderful service considering we landed on a busy evening at 9.45 at night. We had had a crazy day and were very late going out for our meal. All 5 meals well cooked and presented & at reasonable price as well. We hope to visit again whilst in the area
